Age isn't as much a factor for receivers as it is for running backs, but it becomes a talking point after a wideout has a down year. Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs and Tyler Lockett are all coming off down years and happen to be on the wrong side of 30. If these were blips on the radar, they each could be 2024 Fantasy football sleepers, but if the decrease in production is a trend that will continue, then the three are ones to avoid with your Fantasy football 2024 picks.
Prudent 2024 Fantasy football advice would also say to be mindful of wideouts who are entering their age-30 seasons. Tyreek Hill, Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley all fit the bill and could be due for regression compared to their 2024 Fantasy football projections. Before crafting your 2024 Fantasy football draft strategy, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football rankings and cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
Last year, the model accurately predicted that Jets running back Breece Hall would significantly outperform his sixth-round Fantasy football ADP in 10-team PPR leagues. The result: Hall rushed 223 times for 994 yards and five scores and was also a dynamic receiver out of the backfield, catching 76 passes for 591 yards and four more scores. He'd wind up finishing as the No. 2 running back in CBS Sports PPR leagues behind only Christian McCaffrey.
The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.
The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard rankings update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Top 2024 Fantasy football sleepers
One of the 2024 Fantasy football sleepers the model is predicting: Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. After finishing as a top-10 Fantasy tight end in back-to-back years, Goedert was the TE15 last year and posted the lowest yards per reception of his career. However, much of his decline was due to a broken arm that sidelined him for three weeks, in addition to a different usage after returning from the injury.
Prior to the Week 9 injury, Goedert was his typical self with 38 catches for 410 yards and two touchdowns. When extrapolated over 17 games, that comes out to a stat line of 72-774-4, which means Goedert was on pace to set a career-high in receptions and achieve his second-most receiving yards. There's no reason to believe he can't reach those numbers in 2024, provided he doesn't break his arm again. The model sees last year as an outlier as it projects Goedert to be a top-10 Fantasy tight end again this season.
Another sleeper that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Panthers receiver Diontae Johnson. After five years in Pittsburgh, Johnson was traded to Carolina in the offseason, where he immediately becomes Bryce Young's No. 1 option. While the Panthers by no means have an electric offense, Adam Thielen performed admirably in this same role last season with a stat line of 103-1014-4. The veteran had his most receptions and receiving yards in five seasons.
Johnson is a more complete receiver than Thielen at this stage of his career, and Carolina head coach Dave Canales has already said the team will feature Johnson. The last time Johnson was the featured receiver in 2021, he finished in the top 12 in receptions (107), receiving yards (1,161) and positional Fantasy points. As one of the potential 2024 Fantasy football sleeper picks, Johnson is ranked higher than Keenan Allen by the model, despite the new Bear getting drafted earlier on average.See which other Fantasy football sleepers 2024 to pick here.
